Paddy Casey
Born in Dublin Paddy quickly realised music was his calling. From 11 years old he was on the streets busking and singing. After 12 years hard graft his work paid off and he was approached by an A&R scount from Sony. After securing some demo money from Sony Paddy began to record the tracks he was working on. These works would later go on to be released in the form of the 1999 album ‘AMEN(So Be It)’. Following this release Paddy securing touring spots with big name acts like The Pretenders, R.E.M, Ian Brown and Blondie to name a few! Fast forward to 2003 and Paddy recorded ‘LIVING’. The success of this record was truely amazing! It became one of the biggest selling albums ever in Ireland. The following years saw Paddy tour Living extensively! His next album ‘The Secret Life Of’ was released in May 2012. Paddy has been steadily touring over the last few years making stops along the way in Australia, Europe and the US. Paddy is surely going to put in a fantastic performance at this years Paddys Music Fest!

The eight members, mostly from Dublin, come from different musical backgrounds and share a passion to create great music with an ability to absorb influences from across the globe. With its roots in traditional Irish, it features a strong percussive like singing and gorgeous melodies driven by a serious rhythmical undercurrent. Kíla have created their own distinctive style of world music, which has won over audiences around the world through their nine recordings to date and their spectacular live performances.

Kíla are widely renowned for their stunning sets and surprise guest performers at their shows, including trapeze artists, fire jugglers and belly dancers, their live energetic live performances have seen them continue to wow and attract new audiences over the years. Kíla have played in over 30 countries throughout the world, at festivals and venues, most notable festivals in recent years include Womadelaide Australia, Womad Reading, Spain and Sicily, Glastonbury Festival, Witness Festival, Sigzet Festival Budapest, Montreaux Jazz Festival, Stockholm Water Festival, and the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics Ireland 2003 and now they will be joining us for Paddy’s Music Fest!

Raglans
Raglans blaze a trail of muscular new wave guitars, gritty pop melodies and uplifting indie folk arrangements that hops, skips and jumps with a skill and confidence far beyond their short lifespan. They were the first signing to the new Whelan’s Records, the new label from the esteemed Dublin music venue. Their debut self titled album jumped straight to number one in the Indie Album chart ahead of War on Drugs and Arctic Monkeys.

One listen to Raglans’ album and you’ll understand why their reputation for live performances precedes them. Playing gigs in countries all over the world, we are delighted that they are joining us at Paddy’s Music Fest this year!

Heroes In Hiding
Heroes In Hiding are one of Irelands most promising young bands at the moment. Following the release of their debut EP ‘Hush’ in March 2014, they were the only Irish act to play at the inaugural Secret Solstice International Music and Arts Festival in Iceland in 2014! If 2014 was the year Heroes In Hiding landed onto the scene, 2015 was the year they conqoured it. They began the year being selected for the Whelans Ones To Watch festival in January. The band went back into the studio and recorded their next EP ‘Today I Mean It’. Following its release the band performed at Barn Dance, Forbidden Fruit, Indiependence, Castlepooluza and Electric Picnic. After a steller performance on the festival circut the band had a completley sold out show at the Opium Rooms in late November. The band are currently back in the studio preparing their next release. We cant wait to hear their performance on the 17th of March!

Fallen Lights
Fallen Lights are a 4-piece indie/pop outfit hailing from Dublin. The band have been together since 2014 and pride themselves on creating music with rich harmonies and catchy melodies. The band have been compared to some of the biggest names in the business including Two Door Cinema Club. The band have racked up an impressive support slot list including Scouting for Girls, White Chalk and The Academic. Their debut EP was released in April 2015 and

Los Paddys music is fusion of Celtic roots with South American rhythm. This sound is completley unique and what makes the band so special! Comparisons have been made of the band with Kila and The Poques due to their fantastic on stage presence. The band has an impressive rotating membership of muscians from Ireland, Argentia, France, South Africa and more. Los Paddys are no doubt going to put on a performance to remember!
